Here is one of my latest purchases...Crocus pulchellus 'Zephyr'. Here's the buds.
Appearances deceiving
Beautiful, Todd!

Wow, that's a beauty!
What an unusual crocus. It looks kind of like a trillium with an extra set of petals, doesn't it?

is it a true crocus? or colchicum? whatever it is beautiful. i haven't had any luck with the fall bloomers here - i think fall arrives a little too quickly here!!!
It's a true crocus. Most of the colchicums are finished now but most crocus are just starting. If it's mild here like last year, I'll still have Crocus speciosus open at Christmas!
Very nice Todd, I've tried fall blooming crocus a couple of times with no success.

Those bulbs have been in the ground 3 years; this is the first fall they have bloomed. Happy day!
Aaah so petite and pretty!

Congrats! My Crocus speciosus are just breaking the ground.
"Exquisite" is the right word for your centre picture.
Isn't nature wonderful.
