is it a true crocus? or colchicum? whatever it is beautiful. i haven't had any luck with the fall bloomers here - i think fall arrives a little too quickly here!!!

It's a true crocus. Most of the colchicums are finished now but most crocus are just starting. If it's mild here like last year, I'll still have Crocus speciosus open at Christmas!

Those bulbs have been in the ground 3 years; this is the first fall they have bloomed. Happy day!
