CG X L'A opening

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

If the weather holds for a few more days there's a chance some of these buds
will have time to open fully. Nights are getting colder, but no frost yet.

crossing my fingers for you and chanting....

Balvenie, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you too. I have two of that same cross that are going to open while I am gone. I told my plant sitter to make sure they pay attention to let me know if it is white or pink when I get home.

Oh Patricia, I think your choices are white or yellow. LOL. I have a dark yellow from this cross that just bloomed but that plant is about is only 2 ft tall. LOL. I also have a iffy white one too. Ada had an ugly one that bloomed from this cross. I told her to quick kill it. LOL

I hope you get a nice one Robert. It sure looks healthy!!!

Speaking of short seedlings, look at Pinkmond seedling x Butterfly, sown 2/22/05 - I thought, poor baby, she's been beheaded twice, 2nd time to the ground, burned, hailed upon, and now look at her, just 2 feet, covered in buds and should start blooming this week. It is one of Kell's, I have 3 blooming now and at least five that should bloom this week, assuming it doesn't snow...

Gosh, you all have yours blooming before mine are. LOL. Now Pinkmond is a cross I grew for Susie. She is Rosemond X Pink Beauty and is in constant bloom. BF blooms tons too, though not constant.

I can't wait to see what you get Sherry. Too bad it is not summer so we coudl get an iddeaof the true color too.

She has opened, in spite of wind and rain and voracious earwigs. Color is creamy yellow with the slightest tinge of pink and quite fragrant.

from above the pinkishness seems to show, though in reality it is not quite so noticeable.

Ok I am so confuseed. LOL. I was thinking this was a Big Yella X L'A cross even though my eyes saw the CG. I think Ada had a BY not a CG, so did I.

I LOVE this one Robert. I love the long calyx and great recurve. I can't wait to see what you end up with color wise. Too bad it is so late in the season. It really takes after its dad.

I do not think I grew any of this cross out and now I sure wish I did.

Robert-

What a Beautiful Coloring.
Kind of an Antique-ing.

What a difference a day makes!! This morning we had the first frost of the year. Weatherman had predicted lower 40's not lower 30's. Just about all of the brugs suffered from frostbite. The sunroom should be ready to receive them tonight.
