Do you do any fall arrangements?

White Lake, ON(Zone 4b)

Do any of you do a fall arrangement either outside or inside? I'd love to see some pictures.

Here's mine by the front steps. I got a great deal at a nearby nursery (Richmond). They had a fall decorating promotion - straw bale, pumpkin, corn stalks, indian corn and a large pot of mums for $19.99.

Thanks Joan. I know its not very creative but it is fall-like. I guess I could carve that pumpkin soon, too.

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

Maybe a few smaller punkins sanannie. What ya think?

I have a couple of planters by the front steps and last month I filled them with Juniper cuttings and a variety of seed heads but they have gotten sort of tacky looking so I trotted off to Michael's yesterday and this is the result (a good day to go big sale!)

Joan - hey I think you're right, I'll get a few smaller pumpkins and some gourd's. Thanks for the suggestion!

fancyvan - Now, see THAT's creative. The juniper branches look fabulous in those containers, especially with a touch of frost on them. Love it.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

They look great sanannie and fancy.
the best I can do is the line-up of mums on my front step.

fancyvan, your Frosty is pretty 'kool'

Joan lol

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

But Ann, they are so pretty. No need to be an artiste.

I always think a few pots of fall colored mums on the front step looks great!

White Lake, ON(Zone 4b)

Yes, I really like that too, Ann....and the fallen leaves at their feet.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Great job everyone! Usually I put up fall decorations but didn't have time this year. I just let the leaves do there own thing....lol. I was going to go and take a picture right now....but can you believe it....it's hailing!

Donna, your 'pot-crow' is way kool.

Joan

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Thanks, Joan. Except she is a Lady not a crow....lol.

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

LOL Donna, of course she's a lady.

I was having fun with scare-crow and changed it to pot-crow.

Whatever! I really like her.

Ooops, I thought Ms. Pot was a man at first - it must have been the buzz cut ;-)

Just LOVE that, Donna!

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

Nice arrangements ladies!
I don't put any arrangements together because I just don't seem to have the knack. I'd have to hire a designer I think, lol.

Thanks for sharing.

GG going for the last of the strawberries - yes, there are still berries ripening despite the frost

Your fall arranging is awesome! Did you put the speed bump sign on purpose so that drivers have to slow to look at your yard?
;) Donna

White Lake, ON(Zone 4b)

They'd probably slow down anyway once they get an eyeful of that scarecrow - he's the best!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Very nice!

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

jagonjune, Your act is priceless. Be proud.

Looking wonderful Lynn! Ü Your scarecrow is the bestest I've seen! (You must feed yours really well;)

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

All these look so interesting I thought I'd get in on the show and tell.
Here are my photos .
Not too much plant life with the Bats but at night when we close the blinds the outside light shows them off for passers by.
The second photo is from the front outside. I had to take it during the day as night time is hard to get a photo to work.
Happy Halloween!!

Love the bats!

White Lake, ON(Zone 4b)

Ann, I've never seen bats done on a window before. You are SO ready for Halloween!

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

Ann, the bats are great.

Around here we couldn't leave stuff like that out - it would be gone in no time flat. Around here, we do most of the decorating on Halloween Eve. and take it down the same night.

Too sad.

Joan

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

LOVE IT!!! We have similar tastes Ann. :)

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

Thankyou All
They are not expensive. Dollar store black construction paper for the bats and they are inside.
The other outside things are styrofoam discarded at work that I cut and sprayed with florists paint( doesnt melt the styro).
My hubby puts sticks in the ground and we attach the "things"
I tried to do a night shot and this is the best I could get.
Happy Haunting!
