Manure and Dogs

Okay, so here is a strange question. I have been reluctant to put out manure because I am afraid it will make my dogs more likely to dig and want to roll in it. When I use fish emulsion, I have to keep them away from the plants until it really soaks in.

So does it work the same with manure? I am all for the natural fertilizer, but don't want them to get in the habit of destroying my beds.
