My stray Spot is now an indoor kitty...

Circle Pines, MN(Zone 4b)

We decided to accelerate bringing her inside. Why do that while I am out of town, you may ask?

Because she was chasing the neighbor cat back across the street and a cop hit her! She seems fine, was a little dazed at first, but no apparent injuries. She is now safely tucked upstairs in the bedroom, and she managed to climb the stairs with no apparent difficulty. The police officer checked her over thoroughly, and they couldn't find any injuries, she is not bleeding, and there are no tender spots. So it looks like she either got clipped or she hit the side of his car and got a little stunned.

BF is keeping a VERY close eye on her tonight, and will take her to emergency if need be - otherwise, she will be going to the vet to get checked over tomorrow.

She will never go outside ever again. I need everyone's best, strongest most positive energy that she will incorporate into my household with a minimum of problems. First she will get used to the house for a few days without anyone around, then out come the kittens. When they all play nicely (should be fairly quickly), then it is Psy's turn. That is what I am most concerned about.

But I learned from her sister Callie. Psy never accepted her after he saw her hiss and smack his beloved Zarah, and so that will not happen this time! After that, he refused to tolerate her, and wanted nothing more than to kill her on sight - and after the first time, the feeling was mutual. I ended up having to rehome her - I hope and pray that won't happen this time!

Why does this always happen when I am out of town? (I am currently in Vancouver, BC until Friday) At least BF has strict instructions that if I am on the road and something tragic happens he is NOT to tell me until we are home so I can fall to pieces there. And I will...
