I'm strictly a container gardener. Most spring bulbs come up, lilies too, but I have planted crocus every year, usually early flowering crocus, but they have NEVER come up! What am I doing wrong??? Here are some pots with bulbs up and blooming or about to bloom, but the crocus were not to be found.
Crocus bulbs don't come up for me...help!
The pots have not been visited by critters like squirrels? As healthy as the rest looks, I wonder....have you dug in the pot and look what is left of the crocus bulbs?
Early flowering you mean Fall blooming or the regular, either Specie crocus or the large flowering ones?
No critters up on the 6th floor, at least not yet! I haven't dug in the pot yet, but will today. By now they're probably mush.
I've planted the species spring blooming kind. This year I've ordered the large flowering ones in hopes they'll bloom where the earlier ones haven't.
Try forcing them indoors on water as a last resort. I have good luck with that. Just follow the hyacinth instructions.
Good idea. I'll save some to force, and plant the rest. Thanks.
