Last hurrah for roses in Newfoundland

I was over to a friends garden today to see his late rose display. Still quite impressive. Here's a few shots. I don't know the cultivars to most of these.

This one is extremely fragrant

A nice yellow but no smell

A coral-pink cultivar

This one is Fragrant Cloud..it lives up to its name!

The last one..this is Evelyn..another fragrant one.

Very nice Todd, some of them do like to hang on. It is nice to get that late display

Beautiful pics as always Todd. For looks alone, I think my faves in this gallery are Evelyn and the first one. I like the look of flowers with different colours or different shadings in their petals. --Ginny

Lovely photos. I especially like Evelyn. Too bad the yellow one has no fragrance. I love yellow, but I'm not about to waste precious garden space on a rose with no fragrance. I've not has as good luck with yellow roses surviving though. But I have a good one now. Not sure of its variety except it's a floribunda, but it had about 6 blooms last week.

I only have two roses in my own garden and one of them is Evelyn...the fragrance is wonderful and the plant is quite floriferous and for me, surprisingly tough.
