"Dog Flu" - Should we worry?

Columbus, OH(Zone 6a)

I read this article in the paper, and have seen it all over Google News too. ( http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/newyork/ny-bc-ny--dogflu1013oct13,0,1650112.story?coll=ny-region-apnewyork ).

Has anyone had a pet, or known of one that has contracted this "dog flu" yet? According to the article, about 5 percent of the dogs die from this disease, and I'm wondering if I need to reconsider letting Darby play with other dogs in the park, at least for awhile.

Or maybe I should just have to take a "Que Sera, Sera" attitude towards all this. There is no vaccine for Dog Flu as yet, and I don't think I could talk Darby into wearing one of those little paper masks. :)
