The Lovely Pink Mexican Petunia.

This one looked so soft and delicate I just had to show it. I think sometimes they are not appreciated enough because they are so plentiful.

That is stunning - I just have the plain purple but that would be sharp in the garden. Does it spread like the purple?

I have never had it spread like most people say, probably because I keep a thick mulch.
I do wish they would spread more, but I usually propagate them by cuttings, which are very easy to root.

They grow fast down here - but then again I dont add that much mulch like you do. The two you gave me in the spring are each around a foot around now and bloom like crazy - and I love them (just need them to grow some more!

I love that pretty 'pink'. I have the purple ones. Would love to have some of the pink too. My purple ones are the dwarf sized and I like those better than the tall ones.

I bought 3 of the pink ruellia from Home Depot earlier in the year. I hope they spread some. They are gorgeous. The problem I have is with armadillos. I started the season with 6 plants and am down to 2. At least, I think its armadillos. The plants just disappear.

hmmmmm, the plant I love to hate, but not right now because they look soooo beautiful. I guess you call it a seasonal hatred. Constantly pullin seedlings several feet away.

V, those two will do you fine. you'll soon see that. I like them looking like ground cover, so last Feb. I whacked mine off to about 6", and it spread sideways--no legginess like even the dwarf varieties can get.

Mine are the tall ones, and they look really nice, I guess it is a matter of prefference.

My purple ones spread by roots touching the ground....my pink ones spread by seed...and more seed...and more seed....and more...
