I see you want a rice paper plant on your want list. Do you still need it? Want it?
I could send you some young ones. They go dormant in the ground in zone 7a and start up fresh every year in spring. What do you think?

What is a Rice Paper Plant? I dont find anything regarding one in PF. I dont want to be totally ignorant.... thanks, ana
Not everything is in PF since it is mostly a member entered database.
A Google search always gets you pages of hits.
I did enter Rice Paper in the Common name box of the Plant File and it came right up so not sure how you tried it.

Tetrapanax papyrifer. It is a very large leafed plant that can bloom given a very long growing season. I just get leaves, but it is very nice.
I also got the steroidal one which is a bit bigger. Got mine from plantdelights, a mailorder nursery online.

are you offering the Tetrapanax steroidal for trade? plmk if so i would love to trade
It doesn't sucker as well, but I have one in a pot with just a few leaves on it. It probably needs to grow more roots and then it would be ready to trade. Probably in the spring. I have a picture. The leaves are not the same but the growth habit is. I only had two offshoots whereas the regular rice paper plant is crazy! LOL
This picture was taken in July. The regular rice paper plant is a young sucker that I transplanted. The steroidal one is on the left. It has a more open habit, but this could be because it is only two years old.
It also dies back and it will be the second year growing it and it over-wintered last year. I do hope it keeps coming back as the other one does.
Now the steroidal one is over the height of the wood fence. It probably will be killed by frost this month. I am going to bring the potted one inside for the winter and grow it by a window.
If you like I can try to get it growing good and we can trade for something in the spring. I don't think I want the bamboo afterall as it would probably get away from me here.
