CLOSED: single flowered tuberose

Monroe, NC(Zone 7b)

I have about 25 bulbs of tuberose. It is the kind with the single flower. Anybody want to trade. Maybe in 5 bulb increments?

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Hi Robin,
I would like some of these bulbs. What do you want for trade tho?

Do you know the color? I have a white one in bloom right now and know nothing about tuberose. Do you know when the best time is to divide them...or how about orchids...I have one that is so overgrown in a pot but don't know anything about them either. LMK.

Mine is white. I didn't even know they came in any other color. I am an easy trader and love nearly all plants. I have a trade list and pretty much if I don't already have it, then I want it. Since it is nearly fall, other bulbs or tubers would be nice also.

I just looked at your trade list. I have a few things that you want, so will get back to you tonite after work, ok?
Thanks, Carol

Hi Weegy: I can't answer orchid questions..but I can tell you what I do with my tuberose. Pretty much I don't do anything with it! It seems to be a pretty happy and easy plant. They always bloom and I never dig them up or divide them except to share them. Mine are growing in poor Carolina Red Clay soil and seem to tolerate it fine. They normally stay a little on the dry side and seem to like that OK. Mine multiply quickly so it is easy to share.

Well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it right! What color tuberose do you have? Do you want some of my white? Or are they all white, don't know much about tuberose either!

I think they all are white. But there are a double flowered variety and a single flowered variety. Mine is the single. If yours is a double, then we should trade! What kind is yours? I'll go out and get a photo.

With you in zone 10A I am afraid we might have to wait for the next ice age for yours to stop blooming! Mine is blooming now too but I am going to go ahead and thin some. I think it should be fine.

Mine is almost all openend up now and smells absolutely divine! You're going to love it. This is the first bloom I've had on it and have had it for about 3 years. I'll take a picture when it's open all the way to the top. Thanks again, Robin, you're a peach! A NC peach at that!
