It hasn't been the greatest season for Brugs here in 10A Northern California. Most of my Brugs took a long rest over this very HOT summer, with unusually hot nights which we don't often have. Now that it has cooled off to the 80's daytime and high 40's nighttime, Peaches and Cream is getting ready to show off a bit.
Peaches & Cream getting ready to bloom
These are the buds on the basal shoot that is all "cream", which I wrote about on another thread:
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/529530/
Buds are all cream too, I wonder what color the flowers will be?
Whew, who is that hottie, the red one, blooming behind P & C??? You always have the prettiest stuff, good to see you!!!
LOL Sherry! I did a double take also when I unloaded the images from the camera. Had to take a close look to figure out that it is the backside of a 'Spice Twice' rose......thought at first it was a RED bloom on a CG Brug behind the P&C Brug.
The all "cream" sport isn't as strong as the regular P&C, but seems to be doing itself proud with so many buds. :-)
very beautiful brugs candy. what lush greens.
Hey, Candy, I liked it better when I thought it was a RED brug, lol!!! It surely fooled me! Have you started your house??? Long time, no see...
Wow....that is going to be beautiful when they all open.
That's really loaded. Be sure to show up pictures.
Those are wonderful! I tried to get a peaches and cream going last year from a cutting and it rotted...Your plants are in great shape...
thats a lot of flowers wow when all bloom..
As usual Candy, picture perfect!!!
I have started taking better care of mine with the white sport. I want flowers too on it. LOL.
And so much for your blooms hanging straight down like P& C is supposed to do. This brug is sold all over here as Peaches and Cream, but its blooms nod. So we are still in a quandary over the identity.
Hoping for some open flowers in the next couple of days. :-) Yeah Kell, don't know for sure what it is with the nodding business, but that's what it came as and you are correct that it is sold all over the Bay Area as P&C.
PS to Sherry - we should have a foundation by late Nov or Dec.......
OK so now I have a question! I bought one that just said verigated. I have had it for about two years. I posted a picture of it and Monika said that it was a Maya. The way you are talking about it I think I have a p&c. When it blooms in the hot summer it blooms yellow and then turns a very dark orange. Now in the cooler temps. it blooms yellow with just a hint of peach. If it is not a maya alot of people that I have traded with are going to be upset with me!!LOL So here is a pic. of it in cooler temp. What do you think? Maya or Peaches and Cream?
Relax Meag,
Monika knows brugs !

You do have a Maya ;-)
EDITED 'cause I can't spell this morning ....lol

That white sport is too cool!!!!
Wow, Candy! You sure have a way with plants. If I had that many buds on ANY plant, I would be happy. Your garden must smell like heaven.
That is just gorgeous!
...wish mine looked that good! lol...

I love the way Peaches and Cream looks like a fountain of flowers
I think it takes a couple of years for P'nC to come into it's own. The two that I have sufferred through an extremely hot summer with few flowers, but lots of foliage. They now seem to be showing all the flower power they stored up through the lean months.
This is my "yellow", was supposed to be 'Janet Reno' but is just a big floppy flower covered yellow that is very aggressive and wants to take over the entire utility yard.
Wow my P&C wants to be like yours when she grows up... A wonderful guy gave me mine last fall..She hasn't grown very tall but she is finally loaded in blooms just starting to open...It sooo fed my brug addiction...

I can't believe how massive and lovely your P & C is; I'll be digging and overwintering mine soon - even if I get it out early next spring, it will never be the lovely specimen yours is.
As my Brug cutting/seedling garden faces cutting and winter kill, I have one consolation - behind all the blooming Brugs, my Camellia/Sasanquas are beginning to blossom; they will still be making a splash when the Brugs are gone. This one reminds me of your pretty Frosty Pink:
