ANYBODY WANT TROPICALS? LAST CALL

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

It's time for me to carry tropicals in for the winter, and I want to reduce the number that I have. Here's a list of what I have to offer:

Walking iris - 2 fans - I think this one is yellow
Mexican heather - small bushes
Canna Tropical Sunrise - rhizomes
Canna Tropicanna - rhizomes
Canna Tropicanna Gold - rhizomes
Canna Red King Humbert - rhizomes
Canna Crimson Beauty - rhizomes
Elephant Ear Excalibur
Elephant Ear Fallax
Elephant Ear Wentii
Elephant Ear Black Magic
Elephant Ear Illustris
Elephant Ear common green
Elephant Ear running green
Peacock Ginger - Silver Spot (Kaempferia)
Peacock Ginger - Jungle Gold (Cornukaempferia)
Foxtail Fern (related to asparagus fern but much rarer)
Musa Zebrina - Bloodleaf banana (will have to trim it back to a bulb--it's 4 ft tall now.)
Different Coleus plants and cuttings
Cuttings from Ornamental Sweet Potato Vines - Blackie, Margarita, and Tricolor

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure there are more and I'll add them later as I come across them.

I'm looking to trade for other named Elephant Ears and Daylilies--my primary addictions at the moment. I will also trade for artwork and accessories with a ranch theme that are weather proof. I need them outdoors in my gardens. I do not have room in my house for anything else. The name of my gardens is The Butterfly Ranch, so I'm always on the lookout for something "western". I could use some woodburned signs for my gardens as well or some painted signs that would be weather resistant. I'm really going for a rustic, ranchy look. So any suggestions would be great.

Anyone interested?

NancyAnn,

I've really been wanting a Black Magic EE. I'm also collecting Cannas - I have a Tropicanna, and I'd love to get more.

I can trade a Bromeliad, an big Algerian Ivy, some young Bougainvilleas, the odd hibiscus. Can you use any of these? What else are you looking for?

Steve, I'm really looking for daylilies and elephant ears at this time. Those are my current passions. I am trying to thin out my tropicals, so I'm not looking for any other tropicals. Here in zone 7a, it's just a pain to have to dig them all up and drag them back in for the winter. Thanks for your offer though.

I don't have any named daylilies or EEs to trade now, but I am interested in the Black Magic EE and the Mexican heather bushes. Would you be willing to send them for postage?

Which Daylilies are you wanting? I have a Daring Deception and Strawberry candy out of the ground now , but have many others. I may have a couple of Huecheras waiting to be divided too.
Please PM me

Naien, your artwork is beautiful! You are quite talented. But I am afraid I just don't have the space in my house for anymore pictures or even nicnacs. I primarily look for stuff for my gardens, but thank you for your offer. You are so artisitic! Do you do art shows?

Gardengram, I don't mail plants for postage as my time and plants are limited, but if you lived closer, you could drop by and I could load you up on plants in exchange for a bottle of Roundup or Preen.

Chicory, I have Daring Deception and Strawberry Candy. In fact, you can check my list at the bottom of this page to see what all I do have. I have about another 150 daylilies to add to my inventory, but I just haven't had time to do that:

I'm looking for unusual daylilies--bicolors, ruffles, braided edges, gold dust, big eyes, watermarks, huge blooms, rebloomers, unusual colors, etc.

Thank you all for responding.

I'm disappointed, as I have nothing on your want list to trade at this point. I thought you were trying to get rid of excess plants and postage is all I have to offer for now.

Gardengram, I did have a bunch of more common plants to clear out for pickup. A couple of traders were here over the weekend loading up their vehicles. One of them brought me a big bottle of Roundup and a unique windchime in exchange for a truckload of plants. The other one gave me a beautiful Wingback Wicker chair that now matches the wicker furniture on my porch after I painted it burgundy and some uncommon ee's for lots of common plants and some of these rare plants listed above.

I'm a barterer. I trade for anything I can use. And I only trade my rare plants (like the ones above) for something equally as rare and wonderful. Sorry to disappoint you. I know I sound snobby, but I've been collecting plants for 7 years and have just acquired some of the plants above. So I don't mind holding onto them until I get the right offer. Thank you for your interest though.

hehehe...is that paint I see on your porch floor ?? Hope you're feeling rested and content today. Crossing fingers and saying sincere prayers that tomorrow brings you great news.
God bless you,

Hey Margo, thanks for crossing your fingers. I go to the doc in a few hours and I hope he says no more treatment! And I hope he gives me permission to get back to heavy duty gardening. The weather is so nice! I'm afraid I'll have to be tied up if he says I need to wait a while longer. LOL

Do you have Xanthosoma sagittifolium? I have plenty of that and its gets massive. Mine tower over my head and some of the leaves are almostg as big as me.Here is a leaf topping my six foot privacy fence. This was taken in June so you can imagine the plant now.

Yes, I have that one, but it's just a baby right now. Hope mine gets that big!
