Maid-Rite Style Loose Meat Sandwiches
Maid-Rite Loose Meat Sandwiches originated in Iowa in 1926.
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Crumble beef in skillet and brown over medium to medium-low heat; add onion and cook until onion begins to turn clear. Drain off fat. Meat should be very crumbly. Add broth and cook down until juice is almost gone. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve on buns. Add your choice of condiment toppings and sliced onions, pickles, peppers, tomatoes.
