Dianne, So many things are taken for granted as we go along our busy day. Mother nature has a way of stopping us in our tracks and reminding us how vulnerable we are.
You have been through so much in the past couple of weeks, have seen and experienced so much that few of us can even imagine. Through all of this, you have kept a positive attitude and took care of your family and pets. You are a very strong lady. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us.

Wow Dianne. I can feel your devistation by looking at the pictures. It is wonderful to see that at least some of your plants survived the tragedy and I am certaily happy to know you and family are safe. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers during your long journey to recovery.

Wow, Dianne. The reality of your situation really hits home with those pictures. I hope your neighbor (who got plucked off his roof) is OK, and I hope you are able to reclaim your home quickly!!

YES! H. kerrii LIVES!
Gosh, Dianne...thanks for sharing all those pics. If that isn't your wood pile by the frogs...looks like you got a nice cord or two. Holy Smoke...it does just smack you in the face to see such devastation that has actually happened to someone you know!

After the shock, I didn't post these pictures to have anyone feel bad .but I realize this is something that most of you will never see in there life time. We as in everyone who lives around the gulf and Florida are in these kinda of threats during hurricane season. It is our choice to live in these threat zones. Now I plan on fixing my house if it can be fixed and wait hopefully a year and put it up for sale..I have lived here for all of my life, all family members are here and when we bought this house we bought all the insurances, they were very costly and we were the only ones in our family who has flood insurance, amazing enough we are covered, now they are telling everyone after claims are done with we will be dropped but the insurance attorney general will step in..Last year Florida got hammered and I feel bad for everyone and this year it was our turn.I have talked to Nightbloomer and we disscussed our thoughts about living under these threats and we both think it's safer to move inland.Whats most important is family and pets!! Two of my cats are now in a foster home until we have shelter next to our home,I am able to keep two of our cats and our beloved dog,and I am grateful to keep them and hopefully soon our other two cats will be able to be with us..it just shows you just how bad mother nature can be... As for global warming hey I'm trying to do my part with growing as many plants as I can!!! LOLWe plan on moving where we don't have to worry as much to where we have to leave our home during hurricane season!! I thank you guys again and again for the cards and calls, Carol called me one day at my worst and told me to go buy something anything to make me feel a little normal. That was a call I needed.I am also well aware that next year the season will be worst and theres still a month left to this season and I pray for everyone in these kinda of threats and I feel blessed we have shelter and our home is still standing..Please pray for everyone because we just don't know who will next lose everything they have worked so very hard for!! As for my plants I plan on going this week-end and just seeing what I have left and all extras I will post.I will offer them for postage to newbies I think it's a great thing offering them cuttings and I also want to help them out,Suzie myers I sent your money back and am very sorry you never received your plant I know you really wanted it!!.I received a package from Mskitty and I thank you, your plant will have a special place in my heart as BestyJ plant.I am jumping right back into my plants and my stress levels are calming down..Hey Carol that was my wood we had cut a pecan tree for the greenhouse!! Thank you all for the gift card the calls the plants and just for you guys being you!!!

Dianne,

Pictures are worth a thousand words. You could describe your situation to us, but the pictures showed us the devastation in a way words could not. Keep on being strong.

As strong, powerful and rich as America is, we are no match for Mother Nature. May God's blessings continue to you Dianne, and the rest of those affected by the hurricanes.

Blessings,

Maybe someone should tell our government about Global Warming? 'ya think? And...all the big nations burning fossil fuels and burping toxins into the air. One likes to think they can have an impact...but really...

Ooops, sorry...that soap box came right over and made me stand on it!!!
