Plants for Woodburned Signs, Ranch/Cowboy Stuff, Gnome Door

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

I have a few plants I need to thin out or clear out. However, I'm not looking for more plants in exchange, as I have so much now to get in the ground. Instead, I'd love some woodburned signs and Ranch or cowboy themed items.

The name of my gardens is The Butterfly Ranch. I intend to build a rail fence all around my property. Below is a pic of the sign at the entrance of my gardens made by a wonderful friend of mine, Tanarae, a member here. Tana also gave me a cow skull and a horseshoe. I'm looking for other ranch decor.

I'd also love to have a sign woodburned neatly with weathered wood to hang by my front door. I'd like for the sign to read:

Cowboy up or
Go sit in the truck.

Other signs with nifty little western sayings would be great too. If you have any ideas or samples of your work, I'd love to hear/see them.

If any of you are skilled enough to make gnome doors, I'd love one about 12 or 14 inches tall for my little gnome village. If you don't know what a gnome door is, it's just a little miniature door you can attach to the side of your house or a tree trunk or something for the little gnomes to go thru. I have a picture of one I like if you'd like to see.

The plants I have to trade are:

unnamed hostas
unnamed daylilies - assorted colors (peach, gold, red, etc)
artemesias - oriental limelight (green and gold leaves) and a silver leafed one
chameleon plant
Tulip Poplar tree
elephant ears - Giant, and Running
sedums
cannas - red futurity, orange beauty, richard wallace
Amaryllis - small bulbs from a peachy-orange plant
Yellow Four Oclocks
Perennial blue ageratum (bluish lavender puffs in the fall--right now)
Mexican Heather
Spearmint
Apple Mint
Violets that are white with a lavender face (like pansies)

Pond Plants:
Yellow Flag Iris
Water Lettuce
Water Hyacinths
Some tiny round "floaties" - not azolla and not salvinia, but I don't know what it is

Houseplants:
unknown Haworthia
Mother of Millions

Cuttings from:
Various coleuses (maybe even whole plants if it's one I have two of)
Perilla Magilla (like a coleus--beautiful foliage)
Ornamental Sweet Potato Vines - Blackie, Margarita, and Tricolor
Purple Smoke Bush

I'm still digging and rearranging and may run across more plants during my digging. If you don't have much in your gardens but you are crafty, we might could just help each other out. Some of these plants need to find a home before winter.

If you live close enough to do an inperson trade, I'll trade for Roundup or Preen.

Thanks for looking. I hope to get in a couple more trades before winter so I can clear out some of these plants.

Hey Lorissia,

I've seen you guys and I've just had a hard time choosing which one I want. LOL But I'll look again and email ya. Maybe we can work something out. I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for contacting me!

Have to put in a word here that ButterflyChaser is a most generous trader! We've completed our trade and I think she absolutely outdid herself. Anyone with the opportunity to trade with her should jump at it. Great to get to know you BC and I hope we can do more in the future!

Lorissia, thank you for such praise. But I am sure I got the best end of the deal. You know I just love my new gnome doors, windows and accessories. The craftsmanship of Masque is just unbelievable. I got up this morning and "fondled" my new door again! I'm sure the new will never wear off.

And I already have plans for another door! Yep, I'm gonna need one. Considering how long it takes me to choose which one I want, I better start now so I'll have chosen one by spring. LOL I am definitely eager to trade with you again. I should have a lot more to share next year. So this gives us something to look forward to, to get us thru winter.

For those of you reading thru here, you can see pictures of the gnome door and windows that House of Masque made for me in exchange for a few plants. I think you'll agree that they are exquisite!

My little gnome friends are soooooo happy! They got a bit drunk last night at the celebration, and today they're all still sleeping off a hangover. I may stay inside today and just peek out the window at them. They're going to be grouchy! LOL

Wow !! That's just so incredible ! I am so happy for you, NancyAnn...I know how much you wanted both of those items, the signs and the doors. They are just beautiful, very, very nice work Lorissa.
NancyAnn I just love your gnome village. They are so cute. What do you need now to "complete" the setup...or is it like the Villages that can go on forever if you are creative....and I nkow that you are very much creative.
I have to agree with you Lorissa, she is a most generous trader and a very special lady ! She is truly an asset to Dave's and to me personally. My cheerleader, confidant and a bestest buddy, too.
Have a great week everyone, May God bless and keep you all safe, Margo

Margo, thank you for all the praise. I think you know I feel the same way about you. I'm so glad we met. We have so much in common. And we keep each other looking forward.

My gnome village has grown from one little bed to two little beds and one big long bed. I'm nuts! When you pull in the driveway, eventually the area will be covered with gnomes and gnome doors and such. I just love the doors! And I'll have to have more eventually.

I wanna get the doghouse moved over here and get it painted to look like stone and then decide what it will be--a gnome house, a gnome general store, a gnome gift shop or what? Maybe some of you have ideas on that. I dont' know enough about gnomes yet to know how they live. But this doghouse is huge, about 5 ft tall, 3 ft wide, and 3 ft deep with a porch on it too, like a real house. The small Cowboy Up sign will go on this dog house.

I have been very fortunate this year to encounter you wonderful traders and friends. You all have been very generous and fun to chat with. Let's continue into 2006. Can you believe the New Year will be in here just a few weeks! I'm so excited. I'm sure it will be my best year ever! Most of my health problems were taken care of this year (4 times in the hospital) and I feel great. It can only get better...and I hope y'all will be there for it!
