I would like to tell everyone who has helped put together the walmart card a very deep hearted Thank you.And also to those who have had us in there prayers.Also to Johanna who has lost and still sent money,You are so kind !! I am back online and am so excited ..We are trying to get something normal going on in our lives.Also I feel very blessed to have my friends here and am very happy to report we finally made it to the back yard and out of 300 hoya's I have 50 and am so excited ,grant it there might only be two leaves to sum of the plants but there still holding on..We had so many banana trees they fell right outside my back sliding doors.We still haven't had a adjuster come out and State Farm is totaling a lot of homes who have had so much water in there homes and then people are going to FEMA to get the rest to fix there homes.We know this will be a long hard road.FEMA has us on the list for a r.v and we are hoping we can get it in the coming months.You know when Katrina hit all I could do was cry for those people here and in Mississippi,And I thank God my home is still standing even tho everything else was distroyed,So I feel blessed.I would also like to tell Suzie myers I have sent out you out a check for your money order,Also another ebay winner;s money order went out.I have a cd the man accross our street burnt copies of our homes and will post a couple of pictures as soon as I learn this computer,Thanks to everyone!!

BetsyJ are you the lady who sent her sister in law to where we are staying now? Very nice lady arrived with a beautiful basket of carnosa,She told me her sister in law had asked her to find a hoya and bring it to me, I am sorry I forgot her name but remembered Betsy from IL,The card was from a daves garden member,if you are her Thank you, if not I would like to Thank her it is beautiful !!

Yeah Dianne! I was scared to death that card was going to get lost in the mail! Happy to hear some of the hoya survived. Your collection will be back up in the triple digits before long.

So glad you are back with us Dianne. It must feel good to be using a computer again too.
It really says a lot for the toughness of our hoyas that that many survived that ungodly event. Those will always be special to you, I'm sure, as will the one that arrived at your door from a hoya bearing angel. My favorite hoyas are ones that I associate with people on these forums.
There is always the red tape to get through, but all will come together eventually. It is just a matter of the all important TIME thing.
Main thing is...YOU & your family are safe and all is heading back to some form of normalcy for you.

Thank you for the warm return, I have always been a lurker,love reading about my favorite plants!!! it's was weird the first time I saw my plants,to see what is left of huge plants,at least theres a little left! The vines that were hanging in the salt water must have been wicking up because plants that were not in the flood waters are now turning yellow I have been cutting off a lot of the dead parts..it's a challenge to make them huge again!!

It is so good to see you back on line. It won't be long before your hoyas are putting out the new growth. There is a lot of warm weather left before the cooler temperatures set in for you. You do know how to grow hoyas!!
