Rooting cuttings

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

Since I'm lucky enough to be getting some new cuttings (thanks Carol and Patricia!), I'd like to make sure I do things right. What is the best method you have used to have cuttings root? Right now I have a few of my own in water - is this an acceptable method? How long do the roots need to be before putting them into a pot? Is temperature an issue? Light? Are some harder to root than others? I'm sure you've been asked these questions a million times, so please bear with me - any additional tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Karen

Hi, Karen.
Here is a rooting thread that might be of some assistance. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/536817/
Good Luck!!

Thanks Ann! That thread was extremely helpful, although it does seem that everyone has a different "preferred" method. Guess I'll experiment with a few - like the ziploc bag, water and perlite, and see which ones work for me! Thanks! Karen
