The second one might be pretty yet. I hope it gets some color and surprises you. That first one sure is dark. Does your Vixen get dark too? Pretty color.

They are both beautiful. The first one sure does have a rich color. It still amazes me the difference in color and shape they grow into from the same pod. The first one is a keeper!!

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

first one shows lots of color, but I think I see a little color on the second photo too? Amazing what can come out of one seed pod huh?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I love the color on the first one.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Patricia, thank you for the comparison shots, I love the first one, and I like the second one too...actually so different she looks really good to me.
Congratulations!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful!

Can you tell us a little bit about how you came by the 2 plants? Were they from same place/person? I think I'd keep the 2nd one also for awhile, they change so much from one bloom period to the next.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I bought these seeds from Mary Haik. I was absolutely thrilled when the first one bloomed. I thought when the second one first opened, I saw a hint of pink, but then it turned more yellow with hints of orange. I will keep a cut to grow out for next year and see if it changes.

Premont, TX(Zone 9b)

They are both so pretty...

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I am located right off the freeway, so easy access.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Looking good Patricia!! Were these from the same pod?? The first one has such a long neck. How far up does it go?? The second has none, makes me think maybe they were from different pods???

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

They may have been Kell. I got the seeds from Mary Hiak so I have no way of knowing whether they were from the same pod or not.

I have some of your's that should be opening very soon. I am just hoping they open before I leave for vacation on the 23rd.

Syracuse, NY

Patricia both are great pictures i would keep them both rememer the story of the ugly duckling that turn into a swan Bob

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I guess I can cut it and root one off it. I am just so pressed for space . I have lots of seedlings that have y'd but not bloomed that I am hoping to dig and put in the greenhouse to see them bloom.

Myrtle Beach, SC

Both of beautiful Patricia....I really like the dark pink-a real charmer. This is my first year and you are all teaching me so much. When I hear ya'll say "into the dumpster" I just cringe. I do understand the philosophy, but ouch anyway LOL
