Elephant Ear Bulbs

I have a ton of Elephant Ear bulbs that I need to move. When is a good time to do this?

You can wait 'til the folliage turns black but if you don't want to wait that
long, you could dig them out and let the folliage die back a few days, cut
it off and pack 'um up.

Thanks! I am wanting to move them to another location. We altered a drain pipe and I want to move them where they will get plenty of moisture.

what about in ny zone 6. houseplants or let them rest until spring? this is my first time growing them
