Remember my new "H. Nummulariodes" I picked up a couple weekends ago at a local nursery?
Well, I took him home, repotted him and hung him in the window. I THINK HE REEEEALLY APPRECIATED IT cuz look what I found this morning! And smeeeeeells sooooooo gooooood!

WOW! Congratulations Betsy! Out of curiousity, what kind of potting soil did you put it in? Bravo!

Wow...is that ever nice. So many blooms and I love the little leaves. Good job....it obviously likes the conditions it's growing in.

Why isn't mine doing that?

Well Ms Betsy, if you can get a hoya to bloom, you're not a "newbie" anymore! Congrats!!

No peduncles for me yet either.. :'(

Heather.....I potted him up in a mixture of about 2/3 potting medium and 1/3 perlite.
....and I cannot take full credit for all the blooms ~~ it had a bunch on it when I bought it. I've just been coaxing them along. Does that still make me NOT a "newbie"?! =o)

Betsy, I think I'm a newbie, and I've been collecting for 2 years. Mostly went crazy over the past year. I personally have never gotten one to bloom that wasn't already blooming. So long story short, I guess I don't know if you are still a newbie, do you want to be?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

If it please the court, I consider myself a newbie in many aspects of 'Hoya'. It only means "you" don't 'know it all' which is a precarious position to be in!!!! LOL

Dennisport, MA(Zone 5a)

I find myself learning more and more everyday from this forum..I will always consider myself as a newbie.

Newbies Rock!
This forum is so wonderful precisely because nobody here consideres themselves an "expert" beyond reproach. We all maintain a wonderful curiosity about our world (especially hoyas) which makes us a fun, exciting, and knowledgable group who enjoys sharing with each other!
I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now (lol)!!!
