Last year at the Florala RU I was given a Night Blooming Cereus. Did not bloom for me,so I was very excited this year when I spotted the first bud. And VERY disappointed when I missed the bloom. What did I know from cereus!? NADA
The little darlin' felt my pain..I had heard how wonderful they are..and rewarded me with more blooms which I got to see and enjoy. Bill thought I was nuts getting up at 3am to take pics. Oh well..he's more clueless then me. LOL
Finally got to enjoy some blooms
I am glad you posted it here too!! Pretty!
Perhaps somebody here will correct me, I thought it looks like Epiphyllum strictum aka Epiphyllum phyllanthus var. hookeri?
What is the size of flowers?
RUK...I just asked Bill..he said between 4-5 inches across? Reckon I should have taken notes, but I was too excited. LOL
Congrats....these are lovely.

Saw this over on the C&S Forum also Ginger. Just as pretty here! :-)
I checked Plant Files and it is epiphyllum hookrei.....Hooker's Orchid Cactus.
I agree with Ursula's identification. This variety is said to have little to no fragrance. Were you able to detect one? Great pictures!
Clare....mine smells wonderful. My DS came over one night to see it and there were a few drops of necter...naturally he had to taste...it was sweet. And now it has more buds!! With luck it will bloom before our nights get too cold.
Thanks, Ginger, and congrats on your new buds! You can always bring it inside and let it finish blooming inside if it gets too cold outside. I'm glad this has a fragrance. I have this one, and it will be interesting to see if mine has a fragrance or not. I hope it does like yours does!
Wish I could bring it in,but with a small house and 4 large dogs I really don't know where I'd put it safely.
