I brought all my house plants in yesterday because the temps were to get down in the 30s & I didn't want to chance any of them getting frost bit.
Anyway, I have a lipstick plant & I noticed the leaves on it look a lot like the hoya leaves. Is it related in any way? It gets the prettiest deep red tube blooms & then a lighter pink comes out comes out of the tube & that's why it got the name lipstick plant; that is for those who've never seen or heard of a lipstick plant. I've had it about 4 years now.

Newbee question
I'm not sure if they are related, but I have had some lipstick plants in the past. It seems to me they have different needs. Lipstick needs more water. Tends to not be quite as hardy as the hoyas. I managed to kill about 4-5 of them treating them like my hoyas. The stems didn't seem quite as succulent. Just my 2 cents. Hth.

Many a lipstick plant has been purchased (and sold) as a hoya! I have killed a few which must make me an expert... Heck, I can't even spell the botanical name!!!
