Hi everyone. Here's what's up with seeds/plants:
Echoes - I will be sending the Lavatera 'Silver Cup' seeds on Tuesday. Dmail as soon as I leave the post office.
Joan6aON - The sunflower heads are not quite ready to harvest yet. As soon as they are I'll let you know.
DarrellR - The variegated vinca I'm starting for you has little tiny roots on it now. I'm not sure how your weather is doing down there, but assume you're not quite ready for frost just yet :-) Do you want me to leave them in their vase of water for more root growth or transfer them into potting soil and continue growing them on until the roots have grown more? I don't know how long that might take and it might be cutting the season close for you to get them planted if we do it that way. We could also try just leaving them in water for one more week, then I can send them off to you for planting. The worst that can happen is that they won't make it, but I have plenty more where that came from. We can just do it again next spring instead. Let me know what you would prefer.

For Echoes, Joan6aON, and DarrellR
No rush Ginny. I don't want to send yours until you have a chance to look at my list. Almost finished cleaning seeds and ready to post.
No problem. They're ready to go now so they might as well be sent. Just let me know when your list is ready and I'll go take a look at it. Thanks!
Does this mean I have to clean seeds too? Well, mine are easy. Only lilium. If anybody wants any. I don't post a list. Just need to know the colour you want.I - Take 2 or 3 years to bloom.

Well, clean. Hmm......some will be cleaner than others. But at least out of the big bags and seed pods into the little bags with as little chaff as I can manage.
Echoes, you have mail!
Joan, the sunflower seed heads have been harvested. It was a toss-up who was going to get there first, the birds or me. We split the difference - they got some and so did I :-) I just want to let them dry for a few days before I package them. I'll keep you posted.
Ginny,
I think if you wrap the roots in something to keep them wet during their trip from you place to my place, will be enough.
I'm not putting them outside. I'm putting them inside to get them going for next spring.
Thanks for the Dmail.
Darrell
Okay. I can do that Darrell. If you'll Dmail your address info I'll get them packaged up and ready to go in the mail first thing Monday morning (I want to give them the rest of this week before I send them on). Thanks!
Joan, you have Dmail!
Darrell, your vinca is on its way. Email sent to your personal account.
Yeee Hawww
I've been looking for, I'll bet, 5 years for that plant. Thank you Ginny.
Darrell :)
You're quite welcome Darrell. I hope it arrives safely, but if it doesn't survive for any reason, I have LOTS more where that came from. We can just do it again in the spring.

The Vinca arrived today. It's in good shape and I've got it in water untill it gets a few more roots.
Thank you Ginny. :)
