So - What's The Most Horrendous Thing Your Pets Have Done?

With the 4 dogs, 6 cats, 7 horses, & cockatoo - I have so many horrendous things that I've gratefully blacked most of them out.

Two that come to mind involve my 70# Tennessee Plott Hound/Lab cross.

I have a collection of fountain pens & different colored inks - some in bottles; some cartridges. Somehow the "dear" managed to snag my box of Royal Purple ink cartridges while I was out. Imagine my surprise - as in head smacking backwards against the wall surprise - when he looked up from his nap on the bed & gave me a smile full of big bright purple choppers!!! The only thing that saved his life (only kidding), was that the ink was waterbased & washed out of the bedspread.

His 2nd interesting snafu was when he apparently managed to snag a red cotton sock of mine out of the laundry basket. He equates dirty socks with doggy power. In fact, we call them "Socks of Power". For some inane reason, he consumed this one, unbeknownst to me. So I'm standing out in the field watching him from a distance doing his "business", & all I can see is this red "thing" coming out. Panic ensues as I envision his intestines or something. I'm running around like all 3 Stooges combined into one single stooge. When I finally figured out it was a sock, & when he finally emitted the entire thing (while I stood there calculating the surgical vet bill in my mind. . . .) it was time for a very stiff drink.
