Thanks gain for the offer.

You got it.
I will keep the thread open until the morning. It will take at least a week or so for them to have shoots so patient with me on shipping.

Thanks so much. You have mail
What color are these?
More details please. Are they hardy or tropical? Are they named or un-named. Do you have any pictures of them? Thanks so much!
Thanks so much , just let me know where to send the postage.

I was that gal and they are doing great. thanks so much.
Is it really that easy to root hibiscus? Just toss a stick in some water??? I thought it took magic and special powders and stuff. I have a few neighbors that have some beautiful plants....
Ana,
No it usually is not that simple.
Normally they have died on me after about 3 days in the vase and I replace them. These last few weeks they have started shooting roots, don't ask us why.
Must be something in the water???? I am serious :)
We are clueless.
Drat! I was hoping for some gorgeous hibiscus soon. Oh well!
Give it a try Ana, don't base anything on what happens down here.
It may work.
Normally for us it does not work but as you can see it is startling us by rooting.
:)
It is easier to root the fresh growth at the tips. If you are having trouble try the paler green new growth and cut only about six to eight inches and either place directly in wet potting soil and cover with clear plastic and place in a shady spot, or you can put the cuttings in water. I prefer soil since then I don't have to disturb the roots.
This looks like a tropical hibiscus and should be over-wintered in a garage in non frost free areas.
Take me off the list, I got one today at Lowes.
Thanks
elva
