My sister bought this h. nummularoide for me at a local HD (thanks, sis!). Although it has about a gazillion bloom spurs on it (no complaint there!), the plant itself looks to me to be scraggly and sickly. Since I'm so new at this, do you guys have any suggestions for how I can help this plant? Thanks so much! Karen
Sick hoya? Help!
The plant itself does not look sickly too me. It could have recently been re-potted and would not have looked as scraggly if it were potted in a smaller pot. It looks like you have a case of bald vines, but, I imagine they will fill in given time. Meanwhile, I can see lots of blooms! Your leaves look nice and plump, but, it may have been moved around alot at the store, which could account for a few bruises on the leaves. You can always pop it out of the pot and see if you have nice healthy roots and if so, no worries.
I am betting it will fill in and become a beautiful plant with your TLC!
Is that at H. holliana in the background? What a special beauty you have there!
Hi Karen....
Your plants look good....i have to agree with Mel, your holliana looks great....what do you do it to have it so full and lush looking? any hints you can share?....
Sandy
Thanks you guys! What a relief - it just didn't look as healthy as I thought it should...Meltn, I think I will check out the root system. Yes, that is holliana in the background, and I love her! She hangs in the greenhouse with the rest. Thanks again!!!
Be careful about watering if that is an EA plant...and checking the roots would be a great idea....
Looks great to me!
:) Donna
