New guy from Mesa AZ.

I'm new to this site, not to gardening. I did however move from the Chicago area to here in lovely Mesa AZ. Needless to say gardening just isn't quite the same here. I recently started experimenting with various plants and failed spectacularly. It's fun to experiment anyway. I'm currently trying some palms and succulents again without much success. So I was looking around the web and Dave's garden kept showing up in all the search pages for different plant species, so I had to join and take advantage of the wealth of info here. I am not an accomplished gardener but I do like to live in a house full of plant life and grow my own veggies and herbs. Thus a harmless hobby is born. Well anyway; Hello all, just love the site.

Glad you like my nickname Betsy, I've always thought of myself as a traveler, or adventurer, and since my name is Mark it was only natural. I'll be hanging around here untill I know everything about every plant, in other words for a little while :)
