Not sure what is happening to them, but they are dying. Do they need fertilizer, water, or something else? I did trim them about a week ago. Could I have spread a disease to them? However, I do have some smaller philodendrons that I did not trim at all, and they look really bad. Help please.
Help my philodendrons, please
Sunburn?
Not sure, could be, but the the bigger ones have been growing in their spots for a few years now, and the little guy was planted around spring time, and he was fine up until about a week or two ago.
Have you sprayed any kind of sprays on them?
Micronutrient deficiency OR overdose? They show the same signs. Wow...just saw Pic#3...really looks like a burn!!! Did you water with city water and was the water on the leaves when hit by the sun. City Water chemicals can do bad things to tropicals.

Dave,
I don't think a spray would hurt it.
Hubby every couple of days sprays all of our plants with malathion because mosquitos love to hang out under the leaves and we have not lost one yet.
Malathion is pretty nasty stuff.
Sorry that this did answer your question but if malathion does not kill mine, I don't know what kind of spray could...:(
I haven't sprayed anything on them. However, I have been watering them by hand the past week or two because my drip is dead. Also we had a few days of blistering heat last week, so im thinking maybe its what Carol mentioned. For a while now I have only sprinkled a little ironite around them, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are micronutrient deficient. I'm going to start using my palm fertilizer on them. The one I'm not sure about is the 2nd philo pic I posted. It is in shade most of the day, but it might just need some good fertilizer. I noticed that some of its mature leaves were yelloing a bit. Here is a better picture of the new emerging leaf.
Thanx again for all the help.
We use Urea on our big philos and monstera...and lotsa water!
