We've grown both D. imperialis and D. excelsa for a couple of years here and they are some of the most fabulous plants. Hoping to get my greedy hands on the white D. imperialis for next year. Anyone with the room should certainly try this plant. Anything that goes from 0 to 10ft+ in a single season is really something to watch. And the abundance of flowers is really spectacular.
