I also know everyone here is into tropicals.

My neighbor gave me a cutting of this hibiscus.

Does anyone know its name.

It is so beautiful I cannot wait till it grows and has flowers.

knot ... I've been trying to pinpoint the name of that one as well. We have one that is a few years old now and have been trainining the trunk into a corkscrew type look. All I *do* know is that it does demand tons of sunlight and likes to be well fed during the flowering season.

Our plants live on 20-20-20.

And the next few days look as if they are going to be a repeat of yesterday. We had 3.82" of rain and the system seems to be sitting on top of us through saturday.

I have a few trades to get out but they may have to wait a few days.

Which reminds me I better d-mail those folks and let them know.

My guess would be "Hula Girl"

Could it be Hawaiian Sunset?
This was the first bloom on mine, the 2nd blooms darker center was more spread out and the flower was more open but unfortunately I don't have a picture of it.
