As the season winds down

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

this will all be just a memory. It's hard to believe that at any time now this could all be covered in a blanket of white snow.
It's been a good year although with all the rain we've had all summer there haven't been many blooms. The plus side to that is I only had to water one time all summer.

We spent every spare moment in our screenhouse in the midst of all the Brugs.
Soon it will be taken down and put away for the winter.
I'm hoping it will be warm enough to sit in it this next week as there are two DG members coming for a visit on Friday.

Many of my seedlings didn't bloom but that was my fault for planting the seeds late.
This is Mountain Magic on the left and one of it's babies that didn't make the grade.

Monika's Meadow Princess was late blooming but was well worth waiting for.

Northern Peaks is still a conversation piece in the garden with it's 4 1/2" tendrils.

Now it's time to sit back, rest and reflect on a summer that seemed much too short.
This winter will bring anticipation of all the exciting new crosses that will be started and wondering what they may turn out to be next summer.

So beautiful!! Is the last one a seedling? Those tendrils are something else. Awesome!!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

oooooooh what is that double white with the long tendrills?? Great shots. Do you still have all of those flowers blooming?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The pictures are beautiful!
I am suffering with you Terry! This summer is already history for both of us.

I love the tendrils too, but Meadow Princess is breathtaking! How lovely snow.

The season isn't quite history here, but the leaves are yellowing and the nights are cooling, so it won't be long. If I can just keep the frost away until this last flush has a chance to bloom, I'll be happy. I've missed most of the blooms this summer and would love to get a good whiff of brug smells.

Terry, your flowers are so pretty. I'm glad you have a greenhouse to put some of them in for a while so you can enjoy a few blooms. I wish I had your screen house. I really like the green grass too. Ours is pretty much brown and has been since about the second week in July.

Thanks everyone.
The white double is a last years seedling that didn't bloom last year.
So far it is a great Brug and I'll watch it again next summer.
Linda yes some are still blooming even though they've been dug up and put in the GH.
Several of my seedlings and some common Brugs are still outside blooming until the frost gets them.
Shirley it's been a great year for grass, weeds and slugs with all the rain we've gotten. LOL

I like it ... hope it does well for you.

Wonderful photos, shame the season has to end so soon.
Best of luck with them all next year!
