October 3 is the Feast of St Francis of Asissi and today we had our annual Blessing of the Animals service at the Cathedral of the Redeemer in down town Calgary. Outside the church when we arrived were two young ladies who were taking pics for people - they were from Taiwan, here to study English for 9 mos. They wondered if it was a church for animals so I explained what was happening.
