The only white I like to see in the garden

Louisville, KY

Well I know it's starting to get cold around here and other places. I actually hate snow but I do like the white on the leaves of these plants. Here are some from the garden today.

Breathtaking........and I too get to see an awful lot of white in the yard here. ;)

Your Colocasia albino has such a wonderful luminescent glow to it.

I like this one because the stems are purple and white then the white runs right up into the leaf.

Wow, all perfect for a moonlight garden theme! And your hand in the shots really gives an idea of the true size of these lovely leaves! Thanks for sharing them.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I have a thing for variegated foliage. I have a thing for yours. LOL
I can't decide which one I like the most.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Those are outstanding. Will the albino ones survive?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I love your white leaves! They seem to glow.
My Stuttgart canna was all white last year, didn't like the TX heat and died(I've killed a bunch of white leaved ones, TX is rough on delicate leaves). Is the albino ear attached to a green one so it can get food and is the first one pictured alocasia mac variegata?

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

bwilliams......those are all wonderful!!! I LOVE them!! Thanks for sharing!

Your plants are wonderful - and your obvious enthusiasm for them is awesome! I'm really new to DG, so I truely don't know the answer to this question, so if it's "wrong," I apologize - my question: If you do sell or trade, and it's not on DG trade forum, is it ok to dmail me and let me know where I can get your wonderful plants? If so, please dmail me! Karen

OH! Do you not know of Brian's canna??? He has some fantastic new ones - If you check the Tropicals forum, you should see pics of a red canna with blue rimmed foliage and yellow one with red spots on the flowers. He DOES sell them, but I think because of solicitation rules, he cant tell us he does.

Wait, I think I can figure this out:

Brian, what is the name of the white canna, or is it one of your hybrids that isn't named yet? Every white canna that I've ordered has turned out to really be light yellow.

Louisville, KY

Thanks for all the kind coments I am glad to be called young still though I am starting to feel old LOL. Specially now that I have to dig all these plants up. As for the canna it was given to me years ago it is a very nice white I have seen a hint of pink on old flowers but for the most part it looks pure white. I have no name on it but its not one of mine. I wish it were.

Wichita, KS

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing.
