Help on IDs, please...finally have blooms

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

After my struggles with the mites this summer...everyone seems cured. I came back from NZ 2 weeks ago and fertilized with the only fert. I could find in the shed...Coffee Cherry Fertilizer and trace minerals....and here are my results!!! This first one is a huge double...the cutting was sent to me by an unknown (actually I have lost the tag) friend. Any help on ID? Around noon I went around fertilizing again because we are getting heavy rains, and the color is about 2 shades darker. YES...a double.

This is the flower of that 14' tall brug I had to strip the blooms and leaves from for the mites. It opens up with the two skirts very obvious.... Any ideas to ids.? Edited to say that 24 hours later this flower was a deep peach!

Hi Carol!! Great to see you back. Your brugs look bruglicious!!!

The only double orange I know is Double Orange. LOL. I have 2 but they have never flowered. They must hate me. You P & C is the best I have seen. Amazing that people say that one is difficult as I look at yours.

I also think your RK looks fantastic. Can you take a close up of that one? How dark is she? She looks much better in your yard than mine.

Looking so GOOD!!

Carol, they are all so beautiful. You have done such a great job with your brugs this year. I can't help but think that your Double Orange is possibly 'Herrenhauser Garten'. !! Hawaiian Style !! Welcome Back

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

They are beautiful Carol.

Wonderful comeback, they are all beautiful!

After all your struggles with the mites, I am so happy to see that you are having so many lovely blooms.

Hey, Carol, great to see you back, what a wonderful trip, I'd like to try NZ. Your garden is beautiful and I'm so glad the mites have gone bye-bye!!

Your triple white looks like my Species that often has triples. The leaves on mine are a dark green and fuzzy. Your brugs are lovely.

Thanks for the inputs and the compliments. We are getting the tailend of a Cyclone today with lots of wind and rain...so the blooms will be devastated by tomorrow or the day after. It feels good to be back with you all - I was really burned out on Brugs. If they were all in one place it wouldn't be too bad, but they are distributed all over 12 acres!! I often fertilize them from the truck if DH is using the cart and tractor! I was also spending far FAR too much time on DG - and not getting my chores done....

P&C has a funny history. Meltn gave me a cutting and it did ZIP where I planted it. I thought it was ME so I gave the whole cutting to a friend who couldn't grow it. I found, when I dug up the plant that the roots from a gum tree nearby has strangled the poor thing...and I got a cutting back from my friend and what you see if what I have grown. It loves where it is! It does have partial shade in the p.m....sun in the a.m.

I hope the picture I just posted is the Versicolor Peach....can't tell as I was only trying to open the picture to see.
Here is the versicolor peach.

I recently gave all my 'extra' Frosty Pinks and Isabellas to two nursery friends who will sell them at the Open Market....Brugs are slowly being introduced into the gardens here (CarolBrugieSeed). In their place I planted some lovely cuttings from Kyle....Hopefully they will perform as well!!!! I kept a few of those Pinks...the Rosamonds and the Rothkirk, of course!!!

Carol

Sorry...not the VP - Anyone know how to take OFF a picture?

Sorry, Carol, once you post a picture, it's there! You can edit a post, but not the pictures. Your plants look wonderful! I write the name of the plant right on the trunk with a sharpie, have a tag in the ground, plus I keep two lists. An alphabetical one to send out for trades (easier to look for names that way), and a list with the name of the plant, and who sent it to me. That one is in the order that I got them, since it's just for me. Obsessive?? Who, me?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Just came back from a walk (break in the storm)...that double bright white of yesterday (4th photo down) is, today, deep peach with very wide skirts. The difference between that one and the first one is 1. obviously the angle the flower grows and that 2. the 4th one drops the inner skirt at once...then both skirts grow wider. I was amazed at the change in color....

Kell...I could smell Ms. Rothkirk from 50 feet away! - of course, the wind helped!!! Will get a close up after the storm....

Thanks,
Carol

Carol those are just beautifull I am "dying" for a double pink so one day if you are cutting PLEASE remember me, by the way did you get my box.?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

OH, yes...I DID. Thanks so much. What day is today? Year? Oh goodness.

No double pinks...but the double peaches will be cut in a couple of months. Do you want cuttings?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Could one of the double's be desiree?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

CC - don't know...but I did get a cut of Desiree and when it blooms I can compare. Here is the bloom of picture #4 3 days later...turned a lovely peachy orange. No id ideas?
