itty bitty bananas

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I noticed this today in my banana I bought as a Zebrina. However, leaves are not nearly as red as the one that tropicman posted in another thread.

This is the first year it has given fruit. this one is not edible, right?

edited to add: when I first bought it, it seemed like red markings on top side of leaves were a lot darker. But over time they seem to have faded. Somebody suggested that may have happened if it was grown as a TC, but I wouldn't know. I bought it as a 4 ft plant, not at walmart, but not a select nursery either.

Yes the fruit is small, seeded and not edible, how long have you had it and how tall is it before it flowered?

tropicman, the tree is about 6 ft tall. I got it before I started journaling my acquisitions, but I would say at least 4 years. started with 1 plant on each side of the building (barn) and they have become mini groves.
