Hi folks, I have some of my brugs planted right in ground, one of those has finally held onto a seedpod for me this year, my question: Can it be dug safely and potted without dropping the seedpod? and if so, when and what would be my best time to do it, now when it's still relatively small so it can try to adjust?
I had also heard that I could take a cutting with the seedpod attached and place into water to let the pod mature, is this true, has anyone ever tried it?
Thanks, any info helpful as my temps are starting to drop and its nearing time I NEED to make a decision on this one.

question about a seedpod
OhioBreezy, I have the same problem one I did dig up, and brought it in the house because the bugs chewed the leaves so bad, I striped all the leaves off, and now a week later the pod is still there, but I have some on Brugs that are too big to dig up, I may have to cut them down and put in Bubbler anyway, like you our weather is getting cool, down in the 40s last two nights.
Doris, thanks for the tips on leaf removal, didn't think of that, yes, we are to be down to 37 tonight, so it's about time I get busy. Yours looks good, still hanging on there pretty good huh?
I will keep my fingers crossed for your pod to hold on!!!

Laurrie I've had real good success to root cuttings with seedpods. Digging it up is good too.
THANK YOU!!! I will keep my fingers crossed, I dug up and it's in LR right now, will chop more on top so it can go upstairs later, but for now, I wanna smell it too.
