Does anyone know info on growing cuttings of blue pacific

Hi Everyone,

Not sure if you have blue pacific in america but we have them here in Australia, I am attempting tp grow cuttings from the plant, as a general rule of thumb how long should it take for a cutting to get roots on it? Do I give up only when the cutting is dead? I am using hormone powder as well to try and help it along, I have done this with hebes and have done well, but this is the first time I have tried to grow a cutting of blue pacific.
