If you could only have one....

If you could only have one vine - which would it be and why? I know it is so hard to choose only one! OK, if you must, go ahead and choose two! I am doing a little presentation on vines and would love any input I get from all you experts! Any digital photos you can attach would be so awesome also! Thank you all so much for responding!

For lots of blooms, definently the white mandevilla.

Oh, thats easy. Corkscrew Vine, Vigna Caracalla. The fragrance along with the unusual flowers makes it number 1 in my book. :~)

For me, it would definitely be Passiflora 'Lady Margaret'. It blooms year round for me (indoors during the winter), doesn't seem to be bothered by bugs much, and has, in my humble opinion, the most stunningly beautiful red flowers of any vine.

Good luck with your presentation.

It would have to be Rangoon Creeper..can't miss the wonderful smell..The flowers changes colors from white to dark pink as the day goes by..I have a pic on my post about it..Ya welcome to use it..

The almanda's put on a good show and bloom like crazy. Such big blooms and very showy. So I guess I would pick that vine as the prettiest. Fran

I loved my cruel vine this year. It blooms for quite a long white and is just covered in blooms.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

The corkscrew vine for me. It smells so good. I also love the flowers.

Are any of the mentioned vines invasive with their seeds? We need something very well behaved.

I was sent some Passion vine seeds by a generous DG person and wondered how they'd be. We've only grown morning glories and they just self seed way too much.

Love this thread! Thanks for starting it, Blue Dawn!
