I am fairly new to this and probably posting in the wrong place but I have a few questions.
1. What type of envelope/wrapping do you prefer
2. How many seeds do you usually send out
3. H9ow much postage do you put on envelope
4. Where do you get the tiny plastic freezer bag type bags to put seeds in?
Question on trading/postage,wrapping etc
1. What type of envelope/wrapping do you prefer
Manilla envolope with Bubble inside
2. How many seeds do you usually send out
depends on trade but below is an average i do
if big seeds 5 or six little seeds 10 or more depending on trade ask the person how many they plan to send some people will send more then others but 10 is a good number to start with. i have had trades that have been 10 seeds i have had some that have been more
3. How much postage do you put on envelope
depends on size but usually the 4 by 7 is 49 cents bigger ones cost more
4. Where do you get the tiny plastic freezer bag type bags to put seeds in?

most people give 20-40 seeds of anything unless its rare. Anyone who doesn't I would not trade with more than once and I do ALOT of trading. Just my opinion...but I've nevwer seen anyone only send 10...I would consider that a waste of postage....
1. I don't mind normal envelopes at all, they do just fine. I larger business envelope to send the return envelope in, and a smaller correspondence envelope for the return envelope. I don't usually send bubble unless the trader lets me know the seeds are going to need it. The best traders that i have dealt with know that I'm not going to know what the seeds look like and will often just put bubble in there for me. So considerate!
2. Depends on how many I have. At least 1 tsp. for smaller varieties. The most I have sent was 1 tbsp. Much less for rare seeds. Like you would normally get if you bought a package at the store. But feel free to be as generous as you like! It always makes someones day!
3. 37 cents on the outer envelope and 49 cents (or as close to that as you can get) on the return envelope.
4. THE WHOLE REASON I DECIDED TO POST> I don't like the plastic envelopes. It is great that they're clear and all, but if the seeds are not COMPLETELY dry, then they get all moldy and rot. I have had that happen a couple times. Coin envelopes. or you can make your own, there are some templates under "extras". I have adopted the origami seed envelope method and some people i have traded with have told me they like it too.
Paper breathes, and the seeds slide right out instead of getting stuck.
