Wow..this is very striking! What kind of soil do you have to produce this color? Or is this what my blood grass will look like in the fall? I'm so excited if so!

To tell you the truth, I don't know the answers to those questions. I took this picture at a nursery belonging to my friend who is an expert on ornamental grasses. The plants in this picture are actually growing in pots -- you can see the blue oat grass in the pots behind them. All I know about Japanese blood grass is that it spreads, so it should be sited carefully.
