how long have you been growing the above plant to look as gorgeous as it is.....and when you mean frost tender ....do you mean like it will die if in frost? also how much sun does this plant i am viewing get....

These are all over here, and they flower nonstop all summer. They look fake as you drive by day after day because they always are covered in blooms. Here they take full sun though we stay in the 70s here. And they will die if it gets too cold and frosts. I know some areas grow them as annuals for they bloom when small too. Just get it early in the season so you get your money's worth. I have been growing them for several years now, I lost a few early on when we had colder winters, but lately they are overwintering well.

Just received an "Alice Dupont" for Mother's Day. It was loaded with buds, many of which have bloomed, amazing us all here in southern RI. Plenty of full sun in our yard and on the deck. Should I keep it in a pot, enabling me to bring it inside during winter months? Does anyone know if it will winter over that way. Has anyone tried this method?
Also, is this a plant that attracts hummingbirds?
Many thanks!!
