When do I bring them in?

Floyd, VA(Zone 6b)

two days this week are getting down into the mid 40's then going back into the 50's (this is night time temps.) When should I bring my hibiscus (co-op) in for the winter? Also, should I take a few softwood cuttings now?

Mol, Belgium(Zone 8a)

Hi Gloria & all:
I don't let my hibiscus be under 15 ºC (around 60 ºF). I know hibiscus can feel the 50's during the winter but they won't bloom with those temperatures or even grow. They won't die when temps get down to the 40's but must be kept dry (a few rainy days will kill them).
If you can keep tropical conditions indoors you can take cuttings at this time of the year, but if you can't give them at least 80 ºF, high humidity and good light I would wait 'till late winter to do it. When Spring arrive they would have rooted and then could grow vigorously.

Most excellent advice, Carlos. Thank you, sir!

(ah poop, I just realized that the last few nights have been in the mid-to-low 50's. Well, hopefully they'll still be happy. I have to bring them and my Boug's in tonight ... supposedly getting into the low 40's.)
