Hi you all!
I thougt i should show my largest hoya! This is my hoya sp Phillipinerna! This hoya has been taken from the Philipines to Sweden by Arne Kastberg. A local grower in the Philipines told him this hoya had blue flowers...
Im not sure how long time it was since he brought it home... but probobly a couple of years..
The hoya hasnt flowered yet for him or anyone els in Sweden. I do know that he has peduncles on his now.
Neither Arne nore anyone else in Sweden belives this hoya has blue flowers, but its sure an interesting Hoya.
The Hoya is a imperialis look-a-like, but it has longer and wider leafs.
Just wanted to share my tresure with you..
I put my cellphone in the picture for you to understand the size of the hoya.

Hoya sp Phillipinerna /Hoya Blå/ Hoya Blue
Hi Maria
the name is sp Philippines Hoya blue. Don´t forget Hoya Blue because there is many called sp Philippines. I have peduncle in mine too, it is one of the first sold in Sweden moore than a year ago.The leaves are moore look alike H. imperialis alba than common H. imperialis. But I don´t think it is blue. I have discussed this with Arne several times.

OH you are BAD............What a let down....SANDYC
Christina you are very naughty! It would be cool if someone developed a blue-bloomed hybrid, though, since that is the one color that is not natural to the hoya world.
ha ha ha......those tricky Swedes! Had us all going huh? I was ready to jump on a plane....
Me too! I was ready to pack us all up and move to southern Sweden. I can already say blooma. Hope that's correct! Ha ha!
