Hoya pubicalyx `splash´ ???

Sundsvall, Sweden

I wonder how the REAL hoya pubicalyx splash looks like?
In Sweden circulates a hoya, who seams to me be a pink silver, under the name pubicalyx splash?
I also want now where this pubicalyx comes from ?
Maria

It just seems like Splash has more speckles or spreckles (whatever the wording) than pink silver so it must be a cultivar of pink silver.

Mine has bloomed....it is just cv. Pink Silver. Those H. pubicalyx have all sported, crossed, changed so much...hard to define cultivars anymore...they ARE H. pubicalyx.... smile.

My 'Pink Silver' developed these leaves after I repotted it this spring. I've seen cuttings with leaves like these sold as 'Splash'.

H. pubicalyx "Splash" is just a name someone gave a Pink Silver with lots of splotches.

Aha.. good question, I have been wondering to about this "spash" vs. "pink silver"

One of my "pink silver" plants looks also like that.

I have this one also, and think it is a much more attractive variety of pink silver than the other one I have that doesn't have much markings on the leaves. Also the 'splash' one that I have out where it gets a lot of sun has a lot of color in the new leaves. They are like the 'Red Buttons' leaves in that they are very dark maroon color for awhile. A very pretty plant I think.

I also have the opinion (for whatever it's good for :) that H. pubicalyx 'Pink Silver' and 'Splash' are one and the same. I've seen on mine leaves that are minimally splotched and on the same branch leaves that are very densly splotched so I guess it's just the nature of the beast.

Perhaps a H. publicalyn. Was purchased on Ebay along with a 'hindu rope'.
