A hummie and it's shadow

Edinburg, TX

I was out in the backyard watching hummingbirds and trying to get some different photos other than the usual perched on a feeder type. Thought this one of a hummie and it's shadow was unique.

Ya darn tootin' .. it's a right bit unique, indeed !!

I'll bet .. that if'n a body were 'tryin' to capture such: it'd never happen (nor, SO WELL, to boot!!) .. heehee

A great shot TexasPuddyPrint !!

...and here's another funny looking one...the shadow is caught on a 4x4 fence brace post...so the wings look like they took on a life of their own :o)

...by the way...that hummie has it's beak open and it's not even on the feeder yet! :o)

OMGoodness... these pics are great. I don't think I've ever seen a hummingbird caught with his mouth open! You have a FAST camera! Thanks for sharing! tt

Great shots TPP, but what kind of hummers are they? Don't look like the Ruby-throats we get here. Becky
