Hi Kim. I've got the following:

Plectranthus forsteri 'Green on Green'--It is growing in approx 2.5" pot.....very well rooted, and with new growth.

Brugmansia 'Tiara'--8" cutting, semi-rooted

Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus undatus)--12 inch unrooted, but with many ariel roots

Eyeball Plant--I grew this from seed this year......mature plants....blooming....it's outside right now, can get size if you are interested

Umbrella Palm --also outside right now

Amorphallus--grows from bulb/corm.....goes dormant here, and I dig it for winter.....but it is still growing, so I could dig a plant, rather than just a bulb/corm. I'll have to measure for size. Grows quickly and multiplies quickly.

Thanks for your consideration. I can provide pics of any you might be interested in. Thanks. Jenny

Jenny, The Amorphophallus would be very nice. PLMK which variety/color/species you have. Either which way I want it but just would like to know. Will you be taking the 2 smaller plants or the larger one?

Vieques, PR(Zone 11)

Kim,

I would be interested. I have been working on my journal the past few days.

Pop in and take a look. I have multiples of most except the palms.

Let me know if anything interests you.

HI Kim. I have no idea what variety it is. But I can post the pic to the ID forum and see if they can give us an idea. I got it from a friend in NC last season.....just an itty bitty corm.....and that corm turned into a large corm with all kinds of babies. :O) This season I planted my large corm along with all the babies. The large corm bloomed for me this season. Here is a pic of it from early last seaon. It's really interesting. The stems have black specks on them, and the leaves make like a 1/2 circle kind of shape. I haven't taken a pic of it this year. Anyway, I'll try to ID for you......but until then, at least you have a pic. It's rained all day here.......so I'll have to wait for it to dry up a bit before I can dig. Is that ok with you? The two smaller Crown of Thorns are fine with me....if that sounds good to you. Before I send I'll let you know for sure what size plant/corm I'll be sending. I'd like to try to get you a bigger corm with the plant still growing, and several babie corms. :O) Jenny

Kim, I've been doing a google search on this amorpophallus plant.....and I've got to say, I had no idea there were so many varieties. I've posted my pic and description to both the ID forum and the Tropical forum. I will tell you, mine is not one of the large varieties. I had no idea there were such large ones out there. Mine grows about 2 feet tall maybe. But it does send out many leaf stems.......but if this isn't the type of amorpophallus you are interested in, please let me know. Or if you think it would be more appropriate to trade for only one of the small Crown of Thorns....that is fine with me as well. Thanks. Jenny

(Zone 7a)

Jenny, Ohhh it's fine. It's a plant I don't have so it doesn't matter. Nor does it matter which sizes you want either, or what you send me...LOL I just wnated to know if you wanted the large plant or the 2 babies in the pic. LMK I'll be mailing plants tomorrow if my day goes right! ha ha

Ridgeville, IN(Zone 5a)

How about the larger plant Kim. I know, I changed my mind. LOL That way I can see how easily I can get it to bloom on my own. :O) Anyway, I just wanted to be clear that it isn't one of the giant varieties....didn't want you to be disappointed thinking it was. I'll let you know if I can get an ID on it. I hope someone recognizes it.......I'd like the name also. :O) I'll dig as soon as it gets dry enough.....maybe tomorrow afternoon? I'll let you know for sure when I dig, and mail. My addy is in the exchange. :) Thanks. Jenny

Kim, I think we have an ID. :O) Someone in the tropical forum has this to say:

Sauromatum venosum which I believe they now put it in the Typhonium group again the botanist have changed their mind about 10 times with this one but is best known by the name above.

And here is the plant file link http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2055/

Sure looks like it to me. It's hardy for your zone too! :O) Jenny

Ridgeville, IN(Zone 5a)

Hi Kim. It's me again. LOL Found this info on it also.....not technically an amorphopallus....but a relative......

Sauromatum venosum is a member of the Araceae family or the Aroid family. It is a relative to the infamous Amorphophallus genus of plants It is a tuberous perennial from the woodlands of the Himalayas and in E. and W. Africa. .....from the link http://www.life.uiuc.edu/plantbio/greenhouse/planthighlights.html

OK a must have. Still tell me which plants I should send you today?

(Zone 7a)

Jenny, I have to get up and dig this morning. I'm just going to send you the larger plant. Off to the garden!

Karen I will be viewing your journal later today. Thanks so much!

Ridgeville, IN(Zone 5a)

Kim, the larger plant is fine. :O) We got 2 inches of rain yesterday. I'm hoping I can get out and dig this afternoon after the sun comes out and dries things up a bit. :O) Jenny

Ok Jenny :-D Tracking #9101010521297998554198

Hi Kim. You 'Sauromatum venosum' is in the mailbox now, for morning pickup. ;O) Confirmation # 01038555749533273879

Here is a pic of the bulb(s) I'm sending. It's the main bulb, with several babies on it. This main bulb was just a itty bitty baby when I planted it this spring.....so you can see how much the bulbs grow in a season. This spring I just broke all the babies off and planted them seperately from the bigger bulbs. The plants themselves are still growing here, but with the cooler damp weather they are starting to wimp out. LOL

Very Nice! Thanks...let me know how your plant arrives.

Ridgeville, IN(Zone 5a)

Hi Kim. ;O) Got the crown of thorns yesterday. Arrived in great condition. Thanks so much! I'm hoping since I mailed one day after you, that you will receive your plant today. With the rain we had, the bulb seemed pretty damp, so I didn't wrap it in wet paper towel. I didn't want it to hang too wet and begin to rot or anything. So I hope it arrives ok for you. Please let me know. Thanks. Jenny
