Finally I have a bud

Irving, TX(Zone 8a)

I can't say how excited I am to finally see a bud on my Adora. I was waiting for it to Y but This one looks like the Y is at the base of the plant, or am I mistaken. Maybe someone can tell me if I am. I am still waiting on the rest of my Brugs, but I guess it will be next year. I just wonder if this one will bloom before winter sets in..
This bud is for me..(:

Here is a picture of the base..My cat had knocked it over a while ago and a piece broke off so I put in in water just to see what it would do but I guess this is different and never could get it to do anything like I had started the other cutting I had.
I will be glad just to see one bloom for me.

Hi Vickie,
Yipeeeee!! I'm so happy for you. It's so exciting to get buds. Hope it blooms for you before it gets to cold.
It looks like it did Y for you. At least from looking at the pic. it appears so. The second pic. looks like you have it growing from a cutting and it grew into two trunks. At least that is what it looks like to me.
Good Luck and enjoy.

Thanks you I am so happy since I have been waiting all summer. Actually I started this one from a seed in March and it just grew 2 trunks which part had broken off from the cat. I had waited for the Y way up top to happen but when the other stalk started to grow at the base I did not think it was the Y so far down on the plant.
Will hope for it to open before winter gets here.

Vickie
