I have some of the above plants ranging from 8" to 18" for trade.
I would be interested in anything that can handle zone 11 and prefer flowering but would consider others.
CLOSED: Coral Plant or Physic Nut for trade
Nice jatrophas...I have erythrina seeds.......gets big, just an idea .. :-)
Hi,
I saw from your page you are into water gardens.
Have anything there you care to trade off with? :))
Karen
I would love one...maybe you could find something in my trade list? Or if there is something you are looking for. you could let me know?
Thanks!!
Sue
Sue,
You have one. Send me your postal info and I will take a look at your list.
Karen
Sue,
How about a canna? I will let you choose.
I saw you are into water plants. Do you want me to throw a few water hyacinth in?
Karen
Sue,
I was packaging other plants and went ahead and sent your Jatropha.
Let me know if it arrives safely and if so we will talk of a trade then.
Karen
Hi. I have Bolivian Sunset which should do nicely in PR. Gloxinia Sylvatica...
Forgive my ignorance, but what is that which you have pictured? It is very pretty.
Thank you, Ana
OK, I did some more research and I dont think it would work out here. I am in Zone 9B at it definately gets colder than 40 degrees here. You are still welcome to the Bolivian Sunset! Ana
Anna,
I will take you up on that.
Would you like a couple of ademium seedlings between 4-6"?
I bought about 10 and they are not doing so great down here. I think it is the heat and too much sun (it's brutal). My mature adeniums are doing fine though :) The seedlings have leaves but they are starting to yellow a bit so I know it it time for them to go.
Other than that take a peek at my journal and let me know if there is something in there that may interest you. I also have about 100 or so unknown bromelaids running around also that is not in my journal yet.
Let me know what you prefer.
Karen
Thanks so very very much!!!! I will get you a couple of different cannas in the mail...I will d-mail you real quick!!
Thanks again soooo much!!
Sue
do you have a small one for postage?? i just went out and looked at mine and its mushy at the very bottom of the plant. i think i over watered.
i have been babing it all summer and now i kill it. was doing so good too.
they do good in pots here till they get older then after about 2 years they become drought and heat tolerate. until then you baby it and put it in a dry place to over winter. just a few facts.
Marie,
Since SC has a place in my heart I will send you a plant and do not worry about replacing it unless you want to.
My family is from Charleston and Mt Pleasant.
Are you on address exchange?
Marie,
We garden year round. They century plant is on its way but do not fret about sending us something.
There is always next year.
Karen
Karen,
Send me a note with your address and I will get some in the mail to you.
I noticed you have some pink banana - musa velutina. It looks sooo cute! May I have a pup of that? I can try your adenium seedling as well?
From the looks of your list, you must really have a tropical paradise there!
Thanks, Ana
we go to Charleston alot and Mt Pleasant too . i love being on the coast. the gardens down there are just wonderful. my daughter loves the air craft carriers. we went a few months ago and we went to um cypress gardens this round. oh my what a treat that was. oh the water lilies in bloom. one of these trips i am actually gonna get to the market down there. also some one told me about swings you can swing on on the beach or pier.
oh to garden year round. Nice. wow id be in heaven. my poor yard looks deserted in the winter time. this year everything is going in. two ice storms in a row dont want to lose anything else this winter. hmm maybe i need to move that way but hubby wouldnt go.( hehe) hes a land person no water for him. i would love it though.
yes my addy is in the exchange.
Imzadi,
Have you been to Brookgreen Gardens south of Myrtle Beach?
If not, plan on taking a lunch. You could spend all day there.
So it is a coral plant that you want?
Karen
Yes i want the coral plant . why is it also called physic nut? is the seed or plant poisionous??
oh boy i will have to look into that one. Brookgreen Gardens a new garden to go too. shhhh dont tell hubby but i will be planning a trip. hehe
i love going to gardens and the beach.
I will get a plant out to you on monday. I do not want it to sit at a PO over the weekend.
I am not sure why it is called that but yes, the seed is poisionous if ingested. It has beautiful flowers that butterflies and hummingbirds love.
Once you get a seed, just plant it and you will have many more.
Ahhhh. Brookgreen Gardens. Do plan a trip. The Huntington family that donated this 9,000 acres also donated their beach house which is also open to the public. They are a few miles apart.
It seems you are getting the best of both worlds.
Karen
okay the two magic words for me beach and gardens. hehe animals is another.
i noticed on another thread you like grits and its hard to get them some times. i know you said not to worry about postage but would you like those in place of postage??
YES...YES...YES :)))))))))
cool will get some out monday. maybe tommorow if i get to town tonight to get some.
my hubby loves them too. with lots of butter.
Is hubby in the Military? We used to travel the ICW quite often.
no he is in road construction. he puts down the roads to drive on and things like that. so we do get to go places due to it. we were in NC a few weeks ago picking up parts and got to spend the weekend up there.
i love to travel but am always glad to be home.
I was at Brookgreen last week, the gardens are lovely right now.
I left you some feedback...and sent you a dmail. Now..
I recieved the coral plant...and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! It is beautiful Thank you SOOOOOO much!!!
I can not believe more people have not jumped at the chance to get one!!! It is awesome!!
Thank you again so very much for this trade!! It is a true treasure to me!!!!!
Thank you for being so kind to say that.
Let me know if want anything else.
:))
Karen

well if anymore need homes keep me in mind. i have plenty of room for them.
You got it.
Let me know when you get a chance to visit Brookgreen.
Karen
Ana,
Ana,
I saw your posting but am now just being able to catch up with you.
An adenium is no problem but you want one of my baby bananas?
Ouch that is going to hurt.
I'll explain. I just for the first time last week cut a pup off and put it in the ground. I have been like a mother hen to it ever since. It is taking off (so far) but these guys are delicate. I had to cut all of the leaves back to give it strength to grow.
I am not sure if I would take the chance to uproot it now. If you can hold on a bit, maybe a month or so, lets see what that brings.
Here is the pup this morning.
You have D mail . :)
Cris
your box will go out saterday or Monday.
Thanks Marie
Thanks to all that have particpated in the trades.
The remaining plants will be shipped on Monday.
Karen
Marie,
OMG, I am in heaven.
DH handed me a package from the PO and said, "Sorry, I know you wanted plants but this is too heavy"
Keep an eye on your mail. I know we have traded but this deserves a bonus.
K
i am glad they got there okay. flat rate boxes are good for things like this.
i am glad you are in heaven. my dh said you ship the strangest things to people. last year i sent pine straw to some one.
she had to have long long pine needles for making baskets so i shipped her two boxes of pine needles.
how was the get together?? i hope it was fun for you all.
We had rain most of the day but by the end it was ok. Yesterday we had 3.82" of rain and today is cloudy.
Go to either the recipe or pet forum to get pics.
Thanks a bunch.
By the way, we like SC folks down here. You need to come visit.
