Texas Superstar Flare Hibiscus

Plano, TX(Zone 7b)

This is a bloom from hardy hibiscus "Flare." It is loaded with buds so I should get some good pictures of it soon if the Rita storms don't ruin it.

Awesome - "Flare" seems a very appropriate name - it does have "Flare"

Thanks! My flare hibiscus is now/has been so loaded with blooms that it is sort of laying down a bit. I haven't taken a picture yet but will try to soon. I have a Grand Moy planted right next to it and the blooms are the same color, but a little bigger. Wow!

Is this the same as "Flare Rose Mallow"? It looks to be the same as those I have, second year. They have been spectacular this year and last year although they are slowing down a bit. My single Confederate Rose(s) are putting out more buds and blooms right now than all summer. Luna's (rescued from HD and WM couple months ago) have stopped putting on any more buds; Lady Baltimores slowing down a bit. geekgranny

I think it may the same or similar. I saw both at a local nursery and bought the one with the Texas Superstar label. I think the nursery had their version to sell right next to it.
